CAPH-PRC Project Director Joni Vander Bilt, MPH recently traveled to Boston to present her Abstract and Poster at the 141st APHA Annual Meeting. Her abstract, entitled “Integrating exercise and bundled health promotion in a collaborative community-based program for older adults: A cluster randomized trial”, and connected poster were recognized to be of high quality and interest.  The poster illustrates the core research project of the CAPH-PRC which is a cluster randomized trail.  Participants with Arthritis or joint pain are offered either exercise or exercise + “10 Keys” ™  and followed to assess stiffness, pain, and preventive behaviors.

Beside Joni presenting at the APHA meeting in Boston, she also accepted the Erickson Foundation Research Award for Excellence in Research, Honorable Mention for Dr. Janice C. Zgibor.
