Elsa S. Strotmeyer, PhD, MPH, Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology, Graduate School of Health, University of Pittsburgh was voted chair-elect of the Gerontological Society of America’s (GSA) Health Sciences Section and will assume her role in November 2017.  GSA is the nation’s largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging with a mission to advance the study of aging and disseminate information among scientists, decision makers, and the general public. As an officer, Dr. Strotmeyer will be accepting responsibility for matters of governance and strategic planning with GSA.
